Aims of Group
The Group consists of
Parliamentarians and a full spectrum of those
concerned with engineering. It acts as a forum for
the exchange of information and views amongst its
members. It operates on an all-party basis within
and outside Parliament in order to:

Promote positively a clear
understanding of the contribution of engineering
to national prosperity in the context of the
world economy.

Highlight topical issues
which are of concern to engineering industry and
to the profession.

Encourage a climate in
which engineering can thrive.
-
Emphasise the importance
of high quality education and training to
engineering and of engineers as business
managers.
-
Work with The Royal
Academy of Engineering, the EEF (Engineering
Employers' Federation), the Engineering &
Technology Board, the Engineering & Marine
Training Authority, the engineering institutions
and other bodies in achieving these aims.
